BHP Group PLC (LON:BHP, ASX:BHP) is unlikely to make any major acquisitions in the near term due to higher commodity prices, chief executive Mike Henry told an investor briefing.

Greatland Gold PLC (LON:GGP) said further infill drilling results were “outstanding” at its Havieron project in Australia. It intersected high-grade mineralisation and further improved grade distribution within the crescent zone. The drilling also returned the best ever result: 120.7m at 9.3 grammes per tonne gold and 0.18% copper.

AfriTin Mining Ltd (LON:ATM) produced 194.5 tonnes of tin concentrate from its Uis mine in Namibia in the fourth quarter to end-February 2021, representing a 28% quarterly increase compared with the previous quarter, and exceeding the 180 tonnes production target.

Anglesey Mining PLC (LON:AYM) announced that its investee Labrador Iron Mines Holdings Limited has released the details of a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) on the Houston Project. Anglesey has a 12% stake in Labrador Iron Mines, which owns 52% of the iron ore mine, located in Canada.

Emmerson PLC (LON:EML) said higher potash prices will increase its financing options as it moves to take the Khemisset potash project in Morocco into production. The company plans to start building the potash mine, Africa’s first, by the end of 2021 and to commence production in 2023.

Horizonte Minerals PLC (LON:HZM, TSX:HZM) has completed a bought deal private placement of special warrants in Canada, raising gross proceeds of US$9.2mln (£6.6mln). It issued 88 mln special warrants at 7.5 pence per share (C$0.133) per special warrant

Alien Metals Ltd (LON:UFO) said it has entered an exclusive arrangement to potentially buy the silver tailings project at Elizabeth Hill. Alien has signed a 60-day exclusivity agreement with Wombat Resources Pty Ltd, the owner of the historic tailings on site within the Elizabeth Hill mining licence in Western Australia.

Oriole Resources PLC (LON:ORR) was upbeat on the results of an air core drilling programme at the northernmost Faré prospect of the Senala gold project in Senegal. The AIM-listed company said the programme reported best gold values of 2.58 grammes per tonne (g/t), 0.64 g/t and 0.62 g/t.
