Panther Metals completes airborne survey at Dotted Lake

Panther Metals PLC (LON:PALM) told investors it has completed a high-resolution airborne electromagnetic and magnetic geophysics survey of the Dotted Lake property in Ontario, Canada.

The helicopter survey covered some 1,033 line kilometres and was shot from an average of 86 metres above ground.

It is expected that the processed survey data will be available in the new year.

The company, meanwhile, added that it is actively preparing for a drill programme to test priority targets. Drill targets include testing shear zone hosted gold mineralisation, it noted. The target is seen in data from prior operators’ sampling and coincides with structures seen in the company’s own preliminary geophysics.

“We are excited to announce Panther is making the necessary preparations to commence diamond drilling of untested historical high-grade gold trench intersections, which were confirmed during our September fieldwork at Dotted Lake,” said Darren Hazelwood, Panther Metals chief executive in a statement

“The escalation of our work at Dotted Lake comes at a time of increased exploration news and some encouraging results in neighbouring areas. Pushing forward our understanding of the project is an exciting development.”

Hazelwood added: “This campaign is designed to provide the business with a broader understanding of the potential for gold mineralisation held within the shear zone and will also give us important information on the underlying stratigraphy.”
