Eight Capital appoints former Chief Financial Accountant at Bank of England as non-executive directo

Eight Capital Partners PLC (LON:ECP) has appointed David Bull, a former Chief Financial Accountant at the Bank of England, to its board as a non-executive director with immediate effect.

Bull has more than two decades of international banking and financial services expertise, including seven years at Deutsche Bank, and has lately held a number of chief financial officer/chief operating officer board positions. He is currently chief CFO of Vive Bank, a new digital bank.

“We are delighted to welcome David to the board,” said Dominic White, chairman of Eight Capital.

“His knowledge and experience of technology and the way it relates to asset and commercial finance, international banking and the digitisation of banking services, combined with his strong risk management skills and proven business leadership qualities will be invaluable as we move towards more advanced technologies in the financial services sector such as DeFi [decentralized finance].”

The AQUIS-traded investment company recently shifted its focus towards businesses engaged in “Fintech” operations, from the digitisation of banking services, through to blockchain-backed decentralised finance companies and “crypto banks”.

“It is a timely appointment as ECP continues to strengthen its focus on digitisation of financial services with particular attention being paid to fintech, financial services, banking digitisation and DeFi (crypto) banking,” added White.
