Arkle Resources says it’s delighted with projects

Irish explorer Arkle Resources PLC (LON:ARK) in an operations update told investors that trenching has begun at the Inishowen project, in Donegal, as it aims to unearth expansions of gold veins discovered in 2016.

The company also noted that Group Eleven’s drilling at the Stonepark zinc project, in Limerick, where Arkle retains a 23.44% interest, has completed and results are expected in January.

Meanwhile, at the Mine River gold project in Wicklow, samples have been reanalysed with higher grade gold identified – up to 7.34 grams per tonne, with the overall average of 6.39 grams per tonne up from 5.5 grams per tonne.

“I am delighted to report that we have begun trenching on our Donegal gold project. The objective is to locate new gold veins,” said John Teeling, Arkle’s chairman.

“There is further good news from our Mine River gold project as more detailed analysis from the recent trenching programme has increased the grade of a significant sample from 5.5g/t to an average of 6.39g/t gold on 30g and 50g representative crushed samples.

“The next step, in early 2021 is drilling on both projects.”
